4-DAY BUDGET SAFARI ITINERARY.

4 Days 3 Nights

Embark on an unforgettable 4-day budget safari through Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations. This adventure offers the perfect blend of affordability, wildlife immersion, and scenic beauty. From the elephant-rich plains of Tarangire and the endless savannahs of the Serengeti to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, this safari is designed for travelers who want an authentic and memorable wilderness experience without compromising comfort.

Your safari begins early in the morning from Arusha, heading south toward the famous Tarangire National Park. Known for its massive elephant herds, baobab-studded landscapes, and diverse wildlife, Tarangire offers a spectacular introduction to Tanzania’s safari experience. Enjoy a full-day game drive exploring the park, where you may spot giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and a variety of bird species amidst the scenic backdrops of the Tarangire River. In the late afternoon, you will leave the park and drive to Mto wa Mbu, a small town offering a local cultural glimpse, for your overnight stay at Figtree Lodge and Campsite, where you can relax and share stories around the campfire.

After an early breakfast, depart for the legendary Serengeti National Park, driving through the scenic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enter the Serengeti, the home of the Great Migration and vast open plains. Your afternoon is dedicated to game viewing, where the endless savannah is dotted with wildlife including lions, cheetahs, and herds of wildebeest and gazelle. The day concludes at Nyani Campsite, nestled within the park, where you’ll enjoy a simple but comfortable overnight stay under the stars.

Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti, venturing into its varied ecosystems from grassy plains to kopjes. The day is designed for extensive wildlife viewing and photography opportunities. You can watch predators on the hunt, spot the elegant tower of giraffes, and marvel at the sheer number of zebras and wildebeest. Return to Nyani Campsite for your second night in the Serengeti, experiencing the unique magic of sleeping in the wilderness.

On your final day, depart early from the Serengeti and head to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s largest intact volcanic calderas. Descend into the crater for a half-day game drive, encountering dense populations of wildlife, including elephants, hippos, lions, and the rare black rhino. The spectacular crater walls and lush floor provide an unforgettable end to your safari. After your drive, begin your journey back to Arusha, arriving in the evening.
