05:30 AM: Depart from Arusha
Your driver-guide will pick you up early from your hotel in Arusha. Begin your scenic drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through the beautiful highlands and Maasai villages along the way.
08:30 AM: Arrive at Ngorongoro Gate
Stop for registration at the Loduare Gate before proceeding to the crater viewpoint. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the world’s largest unbroken caldera before descending to the crater floor.
09:30 AM: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater
Begin your game drive inside the crater. The crater floor is a natural wildlife haven, often referred to as the “Garden of Eden.” Expect to see a wide variety of animals including elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, and possibly the rare black rhino.
12:30 PM: Picnic Lunch at the Hippo Pool
Enjoy your packed lunch near the Hippo Pool, surrounded by the natural beauty of the crater. Relax and take in the stunning views while watching hippos wallow in the water nearby.
01:30 PM: Afternoon Game Drive
Continue exploring different areas of the crater floor, spotting more wildlife and bird species as you slowly make your way toward the ascent route.
03:00 PM: Ascend and depart for Arusha
After a memorable day of wildlife viewing, ascend the crater wall and begin your journey back to Arusha.
06:30 PM: Arrive in Arusha
Arrive back in Arusha and transfer to your hotel. End of services.
